GIPS Verification Services Associates

ACA seeks individuals in the investment management and performance measurement industries to join its GIPS Verification Division—ACA Beacon Verification Services—to perform GIPS Compliance Verification and Consulting out of its Chattanooga, TN, or New York Metro offices.

Verification Associates assist with all aspects of the verification process. This primarily entails analyzing client performance presentations along with client processes and procedures relating to constructing accurate presentations. Verification procedures require working closely with the investment management firm personnel and with investment performance and portfolio accounting data. Along with data analysis, Verification Associates are responsible for maintaining essentially all aspects of the relationship with client management. Associates are also called upon to help refine various business practices within the client company.

Successful candidates for these positions will have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or accounting along with an interest in attaining the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) after attaining the CIPM if desired. Previous work experience in investment management, investment performance, and/or financial services would be a plus.

Candidates should also have

  • strong oral and written communication skills;
  • a commitment to exceptional client service;
  • creative problem-solving abilities;
  • flexibility, motivation, independence, and intellectual curiosity;
  • the ability to interact with various levels of client and firm management;
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel;
  • the ability to service multiple clients simultaneously;
  • a willingness to travel an average of four nights per month; and
  • a strong work ethic and desire to innovate.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with industry experience. It will include a base salary plus incentive-based commissions and bonuses. ACA also offers an excellent benefits package.
