Senior Application Support Engineer


Position Objective:

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Re-create, analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose incidents
  • Determine root cause of incidents (configuration, defect, misuse)
  • Liaise with other developers and product owners on corrective actions or viable workarounds to resolve incidents
  • Capable of fixes, code enhancements, and optimization
  • Respond to direct and indirect inquiries based on client service level agreements
  • Perform routine audits of systems for the purpose of preventative maintenance of applications and report on status of systems
  • Perform call management, including logging, monitoring, updating, prioritizing and resolving calls, emails and indirect inquiries in a timely fashion
  • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives


Desired Technical Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Understanding, reading code, strong troubleshooting skills, answering tickets, with on-call rotation every 4-5 weeks
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills are a must
  • Experience in web application development using: Angular 2+, C#, .NET Core, JavaScript with ability to read, understand, and modify code (code-competency) for diagnosis, escalation, and resolution
  • Experience reading/writing queries, store procedures, and ETLs in SQL Server
  • Experience with the Tools: Visual Studio, Visual Code, SSMS, Postman, and WinSCP
  • Understanding of n-Tier application architecture concepts
  • Familiarity with IIS configuration and diagnostics
  • Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket and Atlassian tools a plus
  • Familiarity with AWS services like: S3, CloudWatch, and Amazon Glacier is a plus
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new ACA initiatives and changing client needs
